Eli was searching for something. She looked into the drawers.
Then, she turned on the lights, turned off the lights.
I could not understand what she was doing
However, she suddenly stopped in the kitchen and asked,
“Riri, I can’t find the toaster, do you know where it is?”
I said, ” Oh, It is in the kitchen Eli.”
She laughed and said,”I am already there Riri, and it is not here
I walked to the kitchen and looked around.
I said, “Eli, if the toaster is not here,
what should we do? Can we use the oven?”
Eli shaked her head and said,
“No Riri, it will be a waste of energy.
Using the oven to toast a slice of bread is wrong.”
She then said, “Hey, Riri! We can use the grill!”
I didn’t know how it works and asked Eli. She pointed at its plug.
She said, “This is an electronic grill, Riri. It must be plugged in to have energy.
Then like all other appliances you have to switch it on to use it.
And when you are done, you have to switch it off. It will heat only one surface.
So, it will be energy efficient.”
I plugged in the electric grill and switched it on, I said,
“Eli! it works as you said”
She nodded and then put her bread on the grill.
We toasted it and then turned it off.
She enjoyed eating her bread and I danced.
